Dr. H. Leon Brooks, MD has been a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon since 1972. He is extremely familiar with the Worker’s Compensation system in the State of California and has been seeing and evaluating claimants since 1976. He has a very clear understanding of the intention to resolve any claim on the part of an injured worker and is aware of the needs of both the applicant and the defendant parties. He always believes it should be fair to both sides in an attempt to resolve any dispute between the applicant counsel and the defense counsel. He is very familiar with all the legislation that has passed and has kept up-to-date with continuing medical education.

Dr. Brooks has been a member of the California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery since its inception and is also a member of the American Board of Disability Analysts. He has been deposed over 250 times and is very comfortable with the deposition process. Details are extremely important to Dr. Brooks, who is also highly meticulous in generating reports regarding his opinions as rapidly as possible. He enjoys the task of being a Qualified Medical Examiner, Independent Medical Examiner, as well as an Agreed Medical Examiner and would very much like to continue to be as active in this field as possible.
