Dr. David Slutsky, MD has over 30 years of experience in hand and upper extremity surgery Dr. Slutsky is now available for Independent Medical examinations for work-related injuries of the hand and wrist. He has been a Qualified Medical examiner in California since 1991 and has performed hundreds of ratings exams using the AMA guides, fifth edition. He has also been a district medical advisor for the Department of Labor 2017 and has performed over 1000 impairment ratings using the AMA guides, sixth edition. He has also acted as a second Independent medical examiner for the state of Alaska,Department of Worker’s Compensation, since 2018 using the AMA guides, sixth edition.
Dr. Slutsky has been in practice inTorrance, CA since 1991. He is the former Chief of reconstructive surgery at Harbor UCLA. He is the Founding Editor-In-Chief of theJournal of Wrist Surgery. He is the past president of the Southern California Society for Surgery of the Hand and former Director of the International Wrist Investigators workshop. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and past chair of the Publications Committee (2010-2013). He is the past president of the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society (2014 - 2015). He has authored 39 peer reviewed publications, 75 book chapters, chaired 25 courses, 6 webinars, presented over 100 papers and produced over 100 surgical videos. He has served as an editor of 3 Hand Clinic journals as well as 12 books on Hand Surgery including Nerve Injuries, WristArthroscopy, Wrist Disorders, Distal Radius and Scaphoid Fractures, Microvascular surgery and Upper extremity surgery.
