Dr. Charles Taylor, PhD, has been licensed since 1987 and has dedicated his career to clinical and forensic psychology. He initially worked in Orange County Juvenile Court—within probation and social services—providing therapy and court-related evaluations before transitioning to outpatient services with children and families. After moving to Northern California in1998, he spent 20 years in the prison system conducting therapy and evaluations, later working in jails providing competency evaluations and treatment on a part-time basis.
Fifteen years ago, Dr. Taylor began handling Workers' Compensation cases with the support of Robert Schacht and the team at Innova Exams. As a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME), he produces detailed, evidence-based reports that offer clear and objective assessments of psychological injuries related to workplace claims. His reports are designed to address causation, treatment recommendations, and work restrictions, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation that fairly considers the interests of all parties involved in the legal process.
I have worked with Robert and his staff for the better part of 20 years. Robert and his staff have been great to work with. They are caring, personable, efficient, knowledgeable, accommodating, responsive, and helpful. Robert's observant, practical, respectful, attentive, and calm demeanor, his experience in the insurance field, and his dedication to providing services to us as evaluators has been consistent and invaluable.Robert and his team smoothly execute and guide scheduling, office space or video interviews, testing, billing, and interactions with attorneys and patients. I wholeheartedly referred other providers to him, and they have also continued to work with Robert for many years.
